HEALTH MANAGEMENT. Outbreak of Listeria warning prompt, voluntary recall of Ford rock cantaloupe

Health officials have issued a warning for cantaloupes area producers of melon revered the Ford rock of the State of Colorado, to the United States in an outbreak of bacteria blamed for four deaths in the State and the Mexico New, disturbing of farmers who depend on sales of the fruit.

Listeriosis is a serious infection usually caused by ingestion of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The disease primarily affects the elderly, pregnant women, infants and adults with weakened immune systems.
Director of the health of the Colorado Chris Urbina said of people who are the people of included high risk 60 and older, those whose immune system is weakened of transplants and persons with chronic diseases.
